Wow, last week was busy! We had parent conferences, a field trip and science day!
Thank you for attending your parent conference. The students were thrilled to share their journals and read their published book. Some students were amazed at their own growth as they tried to go back and read their beginning of the year journals.
Thank you also for parents that volunteered on the field trip. It was a fun day and the students enjoyed the activities.
Science day was great! We started our day at the petting zoo seeing goats and horses. Then we were able to walk through a butterfly house. We saw caterpillars, plants, chrysalises, and butterflies. It was amazing! We had a lesson on certain parts of the plants that we eat, which fit in perfectly with our current unit of study.
Field day will be on Friday, May 18th. Please remember to have your child wear tennis shoes.
We will continue our study of plants and taking care of our garden these last few weeks.
